Following the success of our first & second Food & Drink Festival, we are delighted to announce this event will become a regular fixture in our annual events calendar. With a heritage of our food and agricultural industry, the aim of our Food & Drink Festival is to showcase the quality and variety of produce in our region.

DFDS are famous for efficient chilled and frozen food distribution. Their major food storage and distribution hub in Grimsby is perfectly located to serve the region’s seafood, meat, prepared meals and fresh produce sectors. At the port of Immingham, goods are shipped daily to and from Europe and Scandinavia, handled around the clock by expert DFDS cargo teams.
As a major employer in the region and logistics partner to the food sector, DFDS are delighted to be part of Lincolnshire Food Live as key sponsors and exhibitors.

DFDS are again exhibiting at the Lincolnshire Food & Drink Festival; building on the success of last year’s hugely successful event, which attracted large numbers of people to taste and buy food and drink from the county’s producers, as well as learning about DFDS logistics services.
Visitors to DFDS stand in Zone 3 will have a thrilling choice of driving experiences; with a “hands-on” Scania HGV driving simulator to test their skills of driving a heavy truck in a range of environments.
And as if that isn’t enough, a radio controlled version featuring a DFDS Scania Lego truck and road layout is a further Zone 3 challenge, whilst parked just outside of the exhibition hall, a full size Scania HGV invites visitors to take the driving seat and get a feel for the real thing. For those looking to join a professional team, DFDS experts will be on hand to discuss training and career opportunities across the business, whether at the port of Immingham or at Grimsby in cargo handling, warehousing and distribution. Video presentations by DFDS staff will give a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the varied careers across the business.

Ferry Ales Brewery
Ferry Ales Brewery was founded in 2016 by John and Mike, two professionals who have spent the last 10 years commuting daily for work on planes, trains and automobiles to London, across the UK and the globe.
They first met in 2010 on the station platform at Newark commuting to London. A mutual nod, a hello, and a few words later led to the guys becoming friends and families meeting. Meanwhile, manifesting in their heads, and unbeknown to each other, was their exit plan from the rat race into the world of craft beer brewing. In April 2015 a chance discussion on the train to London led to Mike revealing his exit plan which was very much to John's astonishment as neither Mike nor John was aware that the other had an interest in beer beyond drinking it.
Plans were discussed on those early morning and late evening commutes in and out of London. Both went on to buy brewing equipment, reading endless books on the subject and attending courses to learning the craft of whole grain beer making. Mike bought a Braumiester and John a Grainfather and they set about perfecting the styles of beers they are passionate about brewing and drinking.
During this time plans evolved, breweries were visited and two families worked hard to fund, from savings and a rural grant, a 5 barrel brew house with the aspiration of brewing up to 5000 litres of beer per week. Eighteen months on it all became very real when the grant was approved and an order was placed with ABUK Lincoln.
Worked commenced on the barn located on John's smallholding, Ferry Hill Farm in Fiskerton, Lincoln and in October 2016, Ferry Ales Brewery, known as F.A.B. came alive. Whether you like a dark Porter with a subtle smokiness reminding you of a winter fire or the clean refreshing citrus flavour in a Pale Ale or a refreshing Pilsner style Lager F.A.B. has something for you to enjoy at home or out with friends.
All the names of the beers from F.A.B. are inspired from the local history and folklore of the area surrounding Fiskerton and Lincoln and include, 49 SQN (a Bitter), Lincoln Lager (a Pilsner), Witham Shield (a Pale Ale), Smokey Joe (a Porter), Slippery Hitch (a Rye Beer) and Wodewose (a Red IPA). With the six core beers designed and ready to brew don't be the last in the queue to try FABulous Craft Ales and Lagers brewed to perfection.

Born into the Mason family, who have farmed in Norfolk for over 200 years, Hugh grew up in Fincham, the farm's local village and began working at Hall Farm at the age of 20.

The Saucy Fish Company
WANT TO KNOW HOW?
We combined and conquered! It’s sauce and fish without the fuss, fantastic flavour without the hard labour. Before The Saucy Fish Co. blazed a trail through the chiller aisles, it was a sea of blandness. It was hard work just buying fish, never mind cooking it. Which is a shame, since most people really rather like eating it. We said to hell with ‘meh’ and ‘hmm’… let’s go for ‘wow’. Let’s brighten up the weekly shop and lighten the load on whoever’s cooking. Let’s make fish that looks good, cooks good and tastes great. Since then, we’ve taken our ‘fish minus the fuss’ revolution to the freezer aisle. We’re proud to wave our ‘no fuss fish’ flag, that’s why our frozen products go from freezer to fork in less than half an hour. Saucy Fish. Ready when you are.
Scaman's eggs has become a well-known name across Lincolnshire and continues to grow. We are passionate about our business and are fully committed ensuring quality and welfare throughout the farm.

The Nottinghamshire duo have created Tipsy Trailer to attend weddings, parties and corporate events as well as local food and drink festivals. They travelled 300 miles to find the perfect horsebox that is over 30 years old and is steeped in history. It has been used by one family from new and transported horses around the country for show jumping and eventing competitions. Hannah even got to meet Burt, a horse who has been transported around in the beautiful Tipsy Trailer many years ago.
